We are seeking a customer focused individual to facilitate escape room games while creating a memorable experience for our players.

Hours: Work hours will be based on business needs. Shifts to cover 10:00am - 10:00pm, 7 days a week.

The Company

Expedition Escape Rooms is a company that offers a live ‘escape game’ experience in Redfern and Gladesville NSW. We provide a unique form of entertainment which challenges a team of people to escape from an enigmatic and immersive environment in 60 minutes.

Description

The Game Master has a great work ethic and high standards. You will be passionate about our games and responsible for managing our rooms while creating an exciting and memorable live escape game experience for our players. You are customer focused, and enjoy being in direct contact with customers. You are a bit of a story teller and an entertainer, while being approachable with an easy going (flexible) personality. You are also a creative problem solver and able to make decisions on time while being cool under pressure or when dealing with ambiguity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works closely with directors towards the goal of amazing players to the point where they become active promoters of our games

  • Effectively prioritises daily room activities

  • Assist with scheduling and maintaining staff roster based on business needs

  • Monitor and manage bookings

  • Prepare and maintain the game rooms to detailed standards between bookings

  • Debrief teams/players about the rules of the game prior to playing 

  • Respond to inquiries from our customers via phone, email or social media

  • Respond in a timely manner to all escalated customer service issues

Skills or Equivalent

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and entertaining skills to deliver memorable player experience is essential

  • Problem solving and attention to detail is essential

  • Strong prioritisation and organisational skills

  • Two or more years related experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic knowledge of applications such as Word, Excel, Google Apps

  • Interest in escape room games or puzzles is an advantage
